Wilfried N’Sondé was born in 1968 in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, grew up in the Île-de-France region of France and lived in Berlin for twenty-five years. He now lives in Lyon. He is the author of six novels published by Actes Sud, including Un océan, deux mers, trois continents (One Ocean, Two Seas, Three Continents; 2018), which won ten literary prizes.
His short stories deal with historical adventures, the experience of exile and otherness, and, more recently, his relationship with the living world. He is also the author of the texts for Jean-Michel André’s photographic work Borders (Actes Sud, 2020).
