Ruth Zylberman is a French filmmaker and writer. She has made numerous documentaries and she also published her first novel, La Direction de l’absent (The Direction of the Absent), in 2015. She made a documentary Les Enfants du 209 rue Saint-Maur, Paris Xe(The Children of 209 rue Saint-Maur, Paris, 10th arrondissement) in 2018 for the TV channel Arte and it served as the basis for a novel published by the prestigious publishing house Seuil in 2020. Both the film and the book are very popular among the reading public.
